Call for Submissions: CorpseGrinder

CorpseGrinder: A Splatterpunk Anthology is the second volume in a series of limited edition B&W chapbooks, looking for flash fiction that sets to shock, disgust, yet most important scare the reader. Remember the one rule: There are no limits.

We are looking for well-written short stories, no longer than 2000 words, that push the boundaries of splatterpunk and horror fiction. Think of a short slasher tale, or a bizarre dream or encounter with something gruesome. This anthology is about bringing bloody, disgusting, and raw horror to every page.

In addition to fiction, CorpseGrinder is also looking for bizarre extreme artwork and advertisements to fill the pages.

What we are looking for: extreme horror, splatterpunk, and bizarro fiction/artwork

Fiction: We accept solicited and unsolicited submissions of up to 2000 words. No multiple or simultaneous submissions. Also, if we reject your story, please don't send us another (unless we ask you to) until the next reading period for the next volume. Query us about reprints.

For the anthologies, we generally ask for exclusive first print rights and first electronic rights. The publisher would also like to reserve the right to use the work for promotional purposes (such as an excerpt on the website or on other promotional materials such as bookmarks, posters, and other similar items). All rights revert back to the author six months from the date of publication.

CorpseGrinder will be publishing only a few authors in the first volume's print run of 150 hand-made chapbook copies. Each author will receive a contributor's copy as well as a discount on copies.

Send your story as a word or RTF attachment to bizarrebooks@ymail.com with a short author bio pasted in your email, with "Fiction Submission" as your subject line.

Art: We accept any form of illustrated B&W art, from gruesome photography to surreal painting to simple psycho-sexual comics, for inclusion in the chapbook. From artists, we ask for NON-exclusive rights. Send your art as an attachment to bizarrebooks@ymail.com

With the release of CorpseGrinder, BizarreBooks is trying to reach the underground fiction audience with new works of art and fiction that both shock and awe readers. Show us what you got!
